“People discuss my art and pretend to understand as if necessary to understand, when its simply necessary to love.”- Claude Monet

Claude Oscar Monet was born on November 14, 1840 in Paris. Claude’s styles of art were Impressionism and Expressionism. He used oil paint. Claude moved around a lot. He lived in Paris and in

1845 his family moved to Le Havre, in 1881 he moved to Poissy, then again in 1883 he moved to Giverny where he died on December 5, 1926. In 1851 Claude’s mother died, and in 1867 Claude had a son. Claude also was becoming blind, so you can tell that his paintings seem to get more blurry as they go on.

I really like Claude Monet’s painting of waterlilies and his painting Canal in Amsterdam. My project will be an acrylic painting of waterlilies. Claude Monet’s paintings of waterlilies inspired me to make one because of how pretty they are

. I also like all the blue and green colors that he used in his paintings.
